A snapshot of New York at street level, catching the moment when daily life hardens and moving forward turns into physical and cultural resistance.
Part of the Mental Athletic experiment at 47 Christie Street, this zine came together during the days of the New York City Marathon, when the city tightens up and its raw tension comes to the surface. What it turned into is a statement — a clash between discipline and disorder, lived reality and collective expression.
Grounded in the everyday reality of New York, HOMERUN contributed a folder of images and material pulled from a close circle of scene pioneers — photographers, artists, writers, and people who helped shape the city’s visual language from the inside out.
More than just a publication, this project stands as a street-level record of New York.
